He digs and he delves. You can see for yourselves. The mounds dug by Diggory Delvet.

—Beatrix Potter

Greene Naftali is pleased to announce an exhibition of new work by Gedi Sibony. This will be the artist’s third solo show at the gallery. Gedi Sibony assembles with attention to similarities and phenomenological effects of surface and light through playful interventions. Central to the exhibition is Ceaseless Episodes of Blossom, a large-scale triptych composed of three carpets, patterned with symbols signifying the seasons – an acorn, a snowflake, a budding plant, a radiant sun, and a butterfly. In the rear gallery, a concealed chorus of toys hourly chirps.

Gedi Sibony lives and works in New York. He has an upcoming solo exhibition at Douglas Hyde Gallery in Dublin, and has recently shown at Galerie Neu in Berlin, Meyer Kainer in Vienna, Künstlerhaus Graz, and Culturgest in Lisbon. His work is included in numerous American and European museum collections.
