Greene Naftali is pleased to announce Ground Floor, a solo exhibition of new paintings by Michael Krebber. This will be the Cologne-based artist’s sixth show at the gallery. Krebber has been a professor at the Städelschule since 2002, and was awarded the 2015 Wolfgang Hahn Prize earlier this year. His work will be in the upcoming survey Painting 2.0 at Museum Brandhorst, Munich. Other museum exhibitions include Michael Krebber and R.H Quaytman, Museum Ludwig, Cologne, 2015; Les escargots ridiculisés, CAPC Musée d'art Contemporain, Bordeaux, 2012; Kölnischer Kunstverein, Cologne, 2008; Villa Arson, Nice, 1997; and Museum Fridericianum, Kassel, 1994. Krebber’s work is included in several permanent collections, including Sammlung Grässlin, St. Georgen; Sammlung Deutsche Bank, Frankfurt am Main; Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum of Contemporary Art, Berlin; Museum of Modern Art, New York; and CAPC Musée d'art Contemporain, Bordeaux.
