Giangiacomo Rossetti: Selected Paintings, 2016–2026 is the first major monograph of the Italian-born, New York-based artist. The publication surveys ninety-five paintings created over the past decade, offering a comprehensive overview of Rossetti’s evolving practice. In an original essay, curator Matilde Guidelli-Guidi frames his oil-on-panel portraits as intertextual and internally riven, “held together by a diffuse, structural doubt that is often inherent in the very sources they reclaim—recuperating moments in the history of painting that are at odds with notions of personal evolution, contemporaneity, and timeliness.”
