In 2007, Rachel Harrison published the zine If I Did It on the occasion of her Greene Naftali exhibition of the same name. The spiral-bound, commercially printed volume compiles source material that informed the works on view: Voyage of the Beagle—a series of fifty-seven photographs—and ten sculptures titled after famous men, from John Locke and Amerigo Vespucci to Johnny Depp and Tiger Woods. Both the exhibition and the zine borrow their title from O. J. Simpson’s 2007 book, in which he speculatively recounts his accused role in the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.
