Marten will present an edition of Writing A Play (dark blue orchard), a video that debuted at her 2023 solo exhibition at Greene Naftali. The work is a CGI film wtih a first-person narrative voiced by actor Gwendoline Christie, in which dozens of non-human characters inhabit a psychologically charged world shaped by language, image, and unease. A score composed by Beatrice Dillon contributes to the unsettling atmosphere.
