JACQUELINE HUMPHRIES in Tha Sun Will Set: Contemporary Abstraction and the Body

Jacqueline Humphries's 1994 painting, Antic, is included in the ongoing group exhibition Tha Sun Will Set: Contemporary Abstraction and the Body at the MFA Boston. Comprising nine works by three generations of female artists from the Americas, Tha Sun Will Set draws from the MFA’s collection to trace a lineage of abstract painting spanning seven decades. The exhibition addresses the intersection between 20th-century modernism and depictions of the feminine, the body, and landscape in the art of our time.
