In celebration of Jack Whitten: The Messenger, MoMA's revelatory exhibition and accompanying catalogue, Michelle Kuo (MoMA's Chief Curator at Large and Publisher) will convene a panel discussion on Whitten's unceasingly innovative forms of abstraction. Acclaimed artists JACQUELINE HUMPHRIES, Torkwase Dyson, and MoMA Curator T. Lax will join Kuo in conversation, treating Whitten's novel techniques for making art, the visionary beauty he created from righteous anger, and the artist's writings, philosophies, and visions for the future.
