HELEN MARTEN
in Giving Life

September 26 – May 3, 2027
Dib Bangkok

From the museum:
"Spanning three floors of Dib Bangkok, Giving Life brings together 160 works by 33 artists working in sculpture, painting, film, installation, and performance. Their materials carry histories of their own: reincarnated bomb shells, salvaged machines, living plants. Some pieces are eaten and sustain life. Others dance, break down, and breathe, behaving more like organisms than objects. By giving materials new lives as artworks, these artists do not merely imitate nature but risk some of its conditions, making creations that are open to vulnerability, unpredictability, ending, and reconnection."
