JACQUELINE HUMPHRIES in Making their Mark

Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum
Washington University in St. Louis

On view through January 5, 2026

Curated by Cecilia Alemani, Making Their Mark is the first public viewing of the Shah Garg Collection: a groundbreaking body of work by women collected by Komal Shah and Gaurav Garg.

The exhibition champions the lives and work of women artists, bringing into vibrant relief their intergenerational relationships, formal and material breakthroughs, and historical impact. Through drawings, mixed media works, paintings, sculptures, and textile works, the artists within Making Their Mark rechart art history through their singular, iconic practices.

Following presentations in New York and Berkeley, the exhibition's current edition in St. Louis is co-curated by Sabine Eckmann.
